Wild Melon Delight

My color combination for this card
derived from this week's color combo challenge
at SCS. I had to tweak it a little since I didn't have
the exact selection of colors, but I think it
was a pretty good substitute.

The actual challenge was wild wasabi, strawberry slush,
and daffodil delight. Since I don't have anything in the
strawberry slush, I used melon mambo.

I used one of my favorite SU stamp sets,
Heartfelt Thanks.  I made my own design
papers as well, also using images
from this stamp set.

Materials Used:
   Images –Stampin’ Up Heartfelt Thanks
Sentiment –Stampin’ Up Big Bold Birthday
   Cardstock – Stampin’ Up melon mambo and daffodil delight;
Recollections white
Ink –Stampin’ Up melon mambo, daffodil delight,
and wild wasabi
Accessories – Stampin’ Up ribbon, distressing tool,
Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder, stampin' sponges

Clean & Simple Birthday Balloons

I really love clean and simple challenges!
This week's CAS challenge at SCS
is to create a border using 2 or more
image and/or sentiment stamps.

There can never be enough "happy"  in a birthday!

I stamped the "happy blocks" from SU's So Very set
in melon mambo, rich razzleberry, and bermuda
bay for the border. "Birthday" is the bottom
portion of a stamp from SU's Birthday Greetings
set. The balloon is from SU's Birthday Whimsy
set, also stamped in melon mambo, rich
razzleberry, and bermuda bay, with matching
markers for the strings.

Clean & Simple one-layer card,
but I think it has a lot of personality.

Materials Used:
   Images –Stampin’ Up Birthday Whimsy
Sentiment –Stampin’ Up So Very and Birthday Greetings
   Cardstock –Recollections white
Ink –Stampin’ Up melon mambo, rich razzleberry, and Bermuda bay
   Accessories – Stampin’ Up markers

Square Sketch Challenge

This card was inspired by last week's
sketch challenge at SplitcoastStampers:

I don't do square cards often,
and when I do they are usually 3x3.
This card is 6x6.
I was actually needing a card about this
size so this challenge was perfect timing!

Designer Paper – the Paper Studio
   Ink –Stampin’ Up early espresso
